“Time frame IN Mobile. CROSSING_ OVER ON THE IMAGINARY TO THE INTANGIBLE REALITY.”* by Miguel Petchkovsky**?


The Antarctic Biennale has open new boundaries within a framework of the perception of time and physical (yet imaginary) space in which the reality was fluid and dense at the same time, alerting our senses to the wonder of nature, intangible by any definition. The overwhelming image of the magnitude and scale of the space has had a profound impact on oneself reminding us that this equilibrium is fragile, eroded by human ambition and neglected by irresponsible political world leaders only interested in domination and conquest. Crossing over from political thinking into artistic vision was the main objective of this (in continuum) project that has created a global creative window into the art, science, philosophy and cultural thinking as Manifest of inclusivity rather than exclusivity creating meaning and purpose as a cultural connective tissue binding us all together (Tolstoy) allowing the exercise of multi-interpretations transversal to a range of artistic practices and theories, science narratives and philosophical debate. The different approaches of art-making practice and functionality of art lies not within a given narrative or contemporary mainstream discourses but rather on tangible inner vision of expression and expressivity to re- invent the world, challenging the traditional and defying easy definitions in a world fragmented by social distress and suffering from a deficit of humanity The Antarctic Biennale theme MOBILIS IN MOBILE has indeed promoted a Time frame of renewal and continuity within its diversity and challenging nature, promoting an expanded vision in which the world audience will become an integral piece of the creation of meaning within a framework of respect to the authenticity of cultural practice and thinking, that is in constant mutation and re-evaluations. Africa will embrace the Antarctica Biennale concept and dynamics within its historical and postcolonial paradigms, not only from artistic point of view but more importantly from a learning and educational process. Antarctica Biennale is a special and unique moment in time to be re- invented itself in the future that is ours to be shared and nurtured.
