The 18th edition of the Science Festival is just around the corner! For the second year in a row, the event will take place at El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria and Plaça Comercial during the weekend of May 30–31 and June 1.
With over 160 scientific and technological outreach activities taking place across 28 different spaces, and involving more than 300 participants from 120 institutions, organizations, and research groups, the festival has become a key event for bringing science closer to the public in an engaging, creative, and intergenerational way.
Science Festival Night: Science Slam
On Saturday, May 31, starting at 7:15 p.m., the Science Festival Night offers a special program geared toward youth and adult audiences. A highlight of the evening is the Science Slam—a fast-paced series of short talks where participants present research or science-related ideas in accessible and compelling ways. The audience will vote to select the winning talk.
This year, the project Tilling Roots and Seeds , led by Quo Artis, will take part in the Science Slam with the presentation “Eco-literacy through Art and Agriculture.”
In this short presentation, we’ll look at how artistic approaches can help us reflect on our relationship with the environment and the way we produce and consume food.
Join us on Saturday, May 31 from 7:25 p.m.!
