In this third and final session of the Crops Refuge: Survival in a Shifting Climate series, Epicuro Lab to take part in a sensorial journey through soil and cultivation, guided by permaculture expert Nacho Peres and pioneering artist Marcel·lí Antúnez. Set in the regenerative garden Rubió i Tudurí, the workshop opens with a guided tour and culminates in a collective exercise of soil sensing and intuitive cartography.
The workshop begins with a guided tour of the gardens led by Nacho Peres, Permaculture and agro-regenerative agriculture manager at the Ferrer Foundation Green for Good foundation. Nacho shares his experience in regenerative agriculture and his belief that “seeds are culture,” linking cultivation with cultural identity and ecosystem care.
Following the tour, participants will take part in an interactive activity in the garden, where they will collectively engage in practices of intuitive mapping. Artist Marcel·lí Antúnez—a pioneer in electronic art and founder of La Fura dels Baus—will accompany this phase, introducing his rural experiments and embodied approaches to cultivation and art.
This session is part of the ongoing project Crops Refuge: Survival in a Shifting Climate, a project developed within the framework of VOICE, which promotes artist-led approaches and Art-Technology-Society Interactions (ATSI) to address pressing environmental challenges. VOICE is committed to inclusive design practices that ensure everyone can participate meaningfully in the creative process.
