Round Table on Climate Change. 19 November, 2018
We are glad to invite you to join us in a round table: Cambio climático, cambio de consciencia. This event is organized by Festival de Cine de Derechos Humanos de Barcelona (FCDHBCN) at Sant Pau Hospital, Barcelona. Our project manager, Victoria Sacco will be part of the speakers of this event.
After screening of Joanna Macy and the Great Turning directed by Christopher Landry (Canada, 2014) documentary-interview with the eco-philosopher and American environmental activist Joanna Macy, we will establish a debate on the problems that the world faces today and the alternatives that we can provide, within the framework of the General Theory of systems. Both individually, as in public administrations, the private sector, art and communication. The proposal of Macy combines changes in the economic and social model, in our feeling in the network of life and the existential and spiritual orbit of the human being from deep ecology, interculturality, ecopsychology and active hope.
Speakers:
Victoria Sacco, project coordinator of Quo Artis.
Daniel Turon, ecopsychologist and eco-philosopher. Coordinator and teacher of the Master in “Holistic Training for Ecosocial Transformation” of the University of Girona.
Irma Ventayol, coordinator of the Barcelona Climate Plan of the City Council, recently awarded as the best Plan for major European cities.
Luigi Carafa, Executive Director of the Climate Infrastructure Partnership (CLIP), an international non-profit organization for public-private cooperation in sustainable infrastructure.
