May 18th - ARTIST TALK
"What can artificial intelligence learn from dogs?" is the central question in the ongoing practice-based artistic research that, at its final stage, aims to present dimensionality of techno-otherness connected with the canine imagination. Such normative characterization of dog's behavioral patterns through words and numbers as the two powers that primarily create value in our world, might open us an alternative ontological window of knowledge about life. During the artist talk Maja Smrekar will be presenting possibilities about how to create the conditions for a multidirectional process of a collaborative web intertwined between human an non-human agents, while addressing some aspects of artificial intelligence that challenge our social (and political) reality.
Slovenian born artist Maja Smrekar lives and works between Ljubljana and Berlin. In 2017, she won the Prix Ars Electronica Hybrid Art award, The Golden Nica.
