In her presentation “Tilling Roots & Seeds, the Role of Art in the Future of Agriculture” at ISEA2024, Tatiana Kourochkina highlighted the significant role of the creative community in promoting the EU’s shift towards a sustainable food system.
From 8 to 12 April 2024, the UN Ocean Decade Week at ICM-CSIC in Barcelona features “The Blue and Us,” with Quo Artis showcasing artists Robertina Šebjanič and Katja Loher as part of the Creative Europe project “A Sea Change”.
The opening of our round table event was held on March 7th, from 12:00 to 13:00, as part of the final exhibition of the A Sea Change project. This discussion featured artist Robertina Šebjanič, Kontejner’s curator Davorka Begović, oceanographer Joan Llort, and Quo Artis project coordinator Helena Pérez Guerra.
This publication acts as both a theoretical reader and a detailed catalogue of “A Sea Change” project, covering its diverse activities from 2022 to 2024. Edited by Quo Artis and NeMe, the work offers an in-depth exploration of the intricate interactions among the political, natural, and cultural ecologies in the Mediterranean region.
The partner organizations of Tilling Roots & Seeds received a total of 91 applications from 31 different nationalities. The selection panel included representatives from Quo Artis, Ars Electronica, Kilowatt Bologna, and the University of Barcelona, as well as local co-hosts for the residencies.
