Roots & Seeds XXI - Closing Event in Ars Electronica, 7th-11th September 2022

From the 7th to the 11th of September.

Kepler's Gardens - JKU Campus, Linz, Austria.

Quo Artis will participate in the Ars Electronica Festival, where we will develop workshops, talks, and exhibit the pieces that have been produced in the context of Roots and Seeds XXI.

For the past two years, Quo Artis has been collaborating with Leonardo/OLATS, the University of Barcelona and Ars Electronica on Roots & Seeds XXI, an international cooperation project on the plant biodiversity crisis. The project will culminate in an event in the framework of the Ars Electronica 2022 Festival, with the theme Welcome to Planet B. This festival of art, technology and society  will bring together participants from the art and science sectors at local and international levels from the 7th to the 11th of September.

The public and exhibition programme of Roots & Seeds XXI will include art pieces produced by the artists selected for the project's production grants: Laura Cinti and Posthuman Studies Lab, as well as pieces and publications by other artists participating in the project, curators, collaborators, and project partners. We will soon share more information about the completed programme, including the exhibition, round tables and workshops that will take place open to the Ars Electronica Festival.

The proposals presented by Quo Artis join those also presented from Catalonia by Institut Ramon Llull, New Art Foundation and Hac Te. Together they offer a direct testimony of the thriving scene of hybridisation of art, science and technology that is currently taking place in Barcelona. Check out all the proposals here
